Project Overview
In partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Community Development Aid (CODAID) is implementing the Education Can't Wait Multi-Year Resilience Project in 11 schools across Akobo County, Jonglei State. This initiative aims to provide safe, inclusive, and quality education for children and youth affected by crises, ensuring holistic learning outcomes while bridging the humanitarian-development nexus.

Goal
To ensure that children and youth affected by crises in Akobo County, Jonglei State, have access to safe, inclusive, and quality education opportunities, fostering holistic learning outcomes while bridging the gap between humanitarian aid and long-term development.
This goal aligns with CODAID's commitment to empowering vulnerable communities through education, child protection, and resilience-building, ensuring that every child has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive despite the challenges they face.

Objectives
- Expand access to safe and quality education for crisis-affected children and youth.
- Improve learning environments through school infrastructure support and teacher training.
- Engage key stakeholders in strengthening education resilience in Akobo West – Walgak.
- Raise awareness on critical social issues including Child Protection (CP), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention, and Inclusive Education.
