With funding from UNICEF, Community Development Aid (CODAID) successfully implemented the GPE-Project 2023, aimed at increasing access to quality education in Budi County, Eastern Equatoria. This project focused on constructing Temporary Learning Structures (TLS) to provide safe and conducive learning environments for children.

Key Achievements

Construction of 8 TLS (16 classrooms) in 4 schools, significantly improving learning conditions. Transformation of Iting Primary School (P/S):

  • Before construction: Limited and inadequate learning spaces

  • After construction: 2 TLS blocks with 4 new classrooms, providing a safe environment for students. Assessment and monitoring by CODAID's Programme Manager and Education Officer to ensure quality implementation

Looking Ahead

CODAID remains committed to expanding access to education in South Sudan by building more schools, training teachers, and advocating for children's rights to quality learning.

  • Provide access to quality education for vulnerable children.
  • Improve learning spaces to accommodate more students and enhance enrollment.
  • Strengthen educational infrastructure by constructing Temporary Learning Structures (TLS).

Outcomes

  • Increased student enrollment due to improved learning conditions.
  • Better educational opportunities for children, especially in remote areas.
  • A step towards long-term educational sustainability in Budi County.
